From April 19–23, part of the Ninetynine Tulips series is on display during the Anna Paulowna Flower Days. In a recreated 1636 Dutch “showroom,” I’ll exhibit 54 paintings that bring the early history of the tulip in the Netherlands to life.
Highlights include: The 9 most iconic Tulip Mania bulbs:
– 9 tulips from P. Cos’s legendary 17th-century tulip book
– Real broken Rembrandt tulips from the Hortus Bulborum
