Tulip Traditions

Tulips have a special place in Dutch culture — they hit differently in The Netherlands.

I recently discovered my neighbor is a true tulip enthusiast… especially when it comes to the iconic tulip vase. These historic vases, often designed with 8 to 14 spouts, were made specifically to display tulips individually.

She recently bought one herself, but with a twist: no traditional Delft blue decoration. A more minimal look — beautiful, and (luckily) a bit more affordable too. Because… these vases can easily go up to €8,000.

She styled it with imitation tulips, and it looks stunning, tradition can evolve in subtle ways!
