🌷 All kinds of flowers are blooming outside, but the tulip is nowhere to be seen. It has withered and retreated into its bulb, preparing itself for the 2027 season.
For me, this is a time for maintenance. The 99 paintings are being inspected, cleaned, and restored where necessary. After spending three years on display at Tulip Experience Amsterdam, the collection will leave its familiar home next year and begin a new chapter.
During those three years, hundreds of thousands of visitors have enjoyed the collection. Many discovered the stories behind the tulips of Tulip Mania and learned about Volckert Dircksz Coornhert, the Amsterdam merchant who owned his own tulip garden and made a fortune through the tulip trade.
The tulips are resting. The paintings are receiving care. And in the meantime, plans are being made for new exhibitions and new encounters with the 99 tulip paintings!
